Where are American Priorities?

I’m sure you’re aware of the “Tax Day Tea Parties” that took place a few days ago, and are scheduled to continue taking place throughout the next few years. The cry of the people is that they are tired of the government wasting tax dollars. This is a fair opinion to have and a fair cause to stand up for, but the sad truth about this is that there were hundreds of thousands of people who stood up for this cause across the nation on April 15th, 2009. Several cities saw crowds in excess of 5,000 people, with some seeing numbers as high as 20,000 or more.

On October 26th, 2008, we went and protested at the Obama rally in Denver, CO. It was the biggest campaign speech in history (and as far as I know it still is).  We had a total of 5 people. Not only that, but there wasn’t another Pro-Lifer in sight. And yet, on Tax Day, hundreds of thousands of people across the nation were quick to take time out of their day to stand up for something.

Where are our priorities? Our founding fathers had it right.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

They felt it appropriate to list “Life” as the #1 unalienable right. Why is it that we as a nation are quick to stand up for Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, but when Life itself is threatened by our government we are too concerned with “tea time” to notice? There are plenty of people who are more than happy to be the voice for unhappy taxpayers. The unborn have no voice of their own. They need our voice more than ever right now.

Imagine if there were hundreds of thousands of people nationwide standing up for the unborn?
