Women’s Rights?Several new sites have sprung up lately in an attempt to raise awareness for “Women’s Rights” in the Democrat’s health care bill. This got me thinking, how sad is it that people are willing to redefine scientific terms in order to sugar coat their agenda? A few things. First of all, abortion is not a women’s rights issue. Why is it that when animals are killed it’s an “animal rights” issue, and yet when babies are murdered it’s a “women’s rights” issue? It’s been scientifically proven that the DNA of an unborn baby is different than that of the mother. So it’s not even her body. People then go on to say that because the baby is IN her body she has the right to do with it what she wants. So now, even though it can be proven that an unborn baby has a completely unique and complete set of human DNA, and is therefore human, people are willing to justify murdering these babies based on where they are, for convenience sake? Government out of my uterus? Would murdering someone in your own house be legal? No. What about if people started holding up signs proclaiming “Government out of my house” or “My house, my call!”? Murder is murder. The government should do what it can to stop it and punish those who do it, regardless of where it happens. And yet, the Senate voted on Christmas Eve to spend taxpayer dollars on the murder of innocent lives. This was met with great applause and celebration. Should abortion remain in the final version of this bill, it would mean the biggest increase in the number of abortions in America since Roe v. Wade. Now is the time to contact government officials and tell them that we will NOT accept this type of change. America was founded on the values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all people. The very first value is life. Abortion IS NOT HealthcareA month ago when Obama addressed Americas kids through a live broadcast aired to many of their classrooms, one student in PA wore a T-Shirt that bore the phrase “Abortion IS NOT Healthcare”. He was sent to the principles by his 5th period teacher. The reason? His t-shirt might offend other students. The school has a policy that prohibits students from wearing clothing that “creates a hostile educational environment or evidences discriminatory bias or animus”, including the display of “inappropriate words”. Nevermind LGBT Pride t-shirts, which might also offend some students. There’s a whole month dedicated to that. If you’re not on board with that then you risk being labeled offensive. But if you wear a t-shirt advocating the rights for the most innocent and helpless of human lives? You’re sent to the principles office and asked to turn your shirt inside out. The students father is now suing the school district over the incident. Commendably, the ACLU has taken the side of the student, stating “If the district does not have a dress code that prohibits wearing T-shirts, then it has to permit this one.” Based on prior ACLU actions and political bias, this comes as a surprise to say the least. Perhaps they didn’t want to set a precedent that they would later regret. Either that or they’re starting to come around on social issues. Whatever the case may be, they should be commended for their support for the students 1st amendment rights. Source: EthicsDaily Update on F.O.C.A. and ObamaMany of us know that Obama made the FOCA a priority during his campaign. Now that he’s in office however, leftist pro-choice groups are still holding their breath on whether or not he will sign it (or can sign it at the moment). So far he has NOT signed this bill, and recently said that it was not among his top priorities. This is good news for now, but don’t forget that he’s shown very strong pro-abortion ideals so far during his presidency. The following link lists what recent presidents (including Obama) have done when it comes to the abortion issue. Presidential Records on Abortion Here’s a link to the story about the FOCA and how he hasn’t signed it yet: Obama Breaks Campaign Promise to Sign Abortion Bill Immediately Contrasting Torture, Abortion, and the LeftHere’s a very interesting article by George Neumayr of the American Spectator. Obama’s Torture Policy for the Unborn He asks why the left is ok with such horrendous things as abortion or euthanasia, while condemning any less conventional interrogation of known terrorists, execution of serial killers, murderers, etc. Are we as a nation going to sit back and continue to be blind to the much bigger picture? 50 million Americans have been brutally murdured since Roe v. Wade and all we can focus on is whether or not the death penalty is ok for serial killers. After all, they might go through some brief pain. Where are American Priorities?I’m sure you’re aware of the “Tax Day Tea Parties” that took place a few days ago, and are scheduled to continue taking place throughout the next few years. The cry of the people is that they are tired of the government wasting tax dollars. This is a fair opinion to have and a fair cause to stand up for, but the sad truth about this is that there were hundreds of thousands of people who stood up for this cause across the nation on April 15th, 2009. Several cities saw crowds in excess of 5,000 people, with some seeing numbers as high as 20,000 or more. On October 26th, 2008, we went and protested at the Obama rally in Denver, CO. It was the biggest campaign speech in history (and as far as I know it still is). We had a total of 5 people. Not only that, but there wasn’t another Pro-Lifer in sight. And yet, on Tax Day, hundreds of thousands of people across the nation were quick to take time out of their day to stand up for something. Where are our priorities? Our founding fathers had it right.
They felt it appropriate to list “Life” as the #1 unalienable right. Why is it that we as a nation are quick to stand up for Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, but when Life itself is threatened by our government we are too concerned with “tea time” to notice? There are plenty of people who are more than happy to be the voice for unhappy taxpayers. The unborn have no voice of their own. They need our voice more than ever right now. Imagine if there were hundreds of thousands of people nationwide standing up for the unborn? This child’s future is a broken home…CatholicVote.com has released a commercial that I think every Pro-Choice American should see. It’s very powerful, and gives the Pro-Life side of the debate a very good comeback when people argue “The child wouldn’t have a very good life anyway”. Trip Report: Times Square NYC
We woke up at 5:00am and stood in various parts of Times Square from 6:00am on Monday until 4:30am on Tuesday (election day). We took a brief break for dinner but in total we were out there for upwards of 20+ hours. Times Square has over 3,000,000 people pass through on a daily basis, and our message got out to tens of thousands, as yesterday was by far the highest traffic day on our website. Most national media refused to cover us or talk to us about BadChange.com and what we stood for. That was somewhat expected however, and we did not let that put a damper on our goals. We did have lengthy interviews with journalists for smaller papers and talked with several people from the international media. The good news is that we did what we set out to do. While fair and balanced journalism seemed to be missing during our time there, that’s a story in itself that we can use to help further our cause. When people walking around with “Obama” on a small sheet of plain white paper are interviewed by multi-billion dollar national news networks, it’s somewhat absurd when these same networks completely ignore a group who dares to stand up and call Obama’s change bad. What’s more interesting? Interviewing Obama supporting locals or talking with three young conservatives who flew all the way from Colorado and stood while holding a 10ft “Bad Change” sign for almost an entire 24 hour day? Biased? We think so. At one point we were standing within 6 feet from an HD news truck that was broadcasting live election coverage for 4-5 hours straight. The crew was right next to us the entire time. They interviewed Obama supporters for hours but didn’t talk to us about our views even once. They did offer us some leftover pizza as they packed up however so we thank them for that. That does however prove that they knew we were there… Nonetheless, conservative media will love our experiment and story. Please email this blog post to as many conservative hosts that you know of or listen to/watch/read/etc. The fact that we were completely and unnecessarily censored and ignored only further proves Sean Hannity’s statement several months back that journalism in America is officially dead in 2008. Our day in pictures is below. The pictures are in order from dawn to dusk to just about dawn again. You can see us at various spots in Times Square including directly in front of ABC in several shots. As you can also see, our sign was big enough to be noticed from all across Times Square. The large HD satellite news truck towards the end of the pictures is from the station that completely ignored us for hours while they interviewed Obama supporters and reported election coverage well into the night. To top it all off, we made it back home in time to vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin, just in time. Time to shake up NYCWe came close enough to raising the needed funds and will be headed to New York City today. Thanks to everyone who’s donations made this last minute event possible. We hope to speak to several people in the media while we are out there. If you happen to have any media contacts in New York City, give them a heads up! Who knows for sure who we will talk to or how exactly the trip will go. Wish us luck and stay tuned for updates… Obama Pueblo Rally Protest! We had about 15-20 people at Obama’s rally in Pueblo Colorado today. We brought a monster sign this time around and as the pictures show, we were not about to be blocked by the Obama signs. We actually ran into that huge Obama Biden sign at the Michelle Obama protest and decided we were not going to be outdone this next time around. We can still make it to NY!We are finalizing some last minute details but everything is still looking good for NY. We are only a few hundred short and can easily get there with your help today. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! What we do is only possible because of your help! |

BadChange.com is back from New York City. Our plan was to stand at various bottleneck spots throughout Times Square and stage a protest against the liberal media (for not covering conservative viewpoints) while also getting BadChange.com out to a large amount of people from all over the US. We figured either the media would continue to ignore the conservative voice or we would be so obvious that they would have to ask us some questions. Here is our report.
